The Arena of Healing

This small indoor arena has a lot of memories at the stable. It is a place where most young riders here learned how to ride and even took the reins by themselves for the first time. It is also a place where horses have birthed and even sadly died. Almost all the horses that have passed away are buried in a special near by field underneath some pine trees (Flowers mark the spot).

But other then mostly used for free lunging on rainy days it is also a quiet dry place for injured horses to heal. My horse (in picture) in this case had sliced his right hind leg with one of his shoes by rolling on the ground carelessly and it had swelled up big time. So for the past couple of days I have been hosing down his leg and treating it vigorously. (Yesterday was the first day I got to get up on him and ride him around a bit ).
